ABOUT SUPER BASIC

ONE LINE
Super Basic makes small web apps that each do one useful job, from QR codes and bookings to invoices and payment pages, all under one account.

SHORT
Super Basic is a family of small web apps for the everyday jobs of running something small. Each app does one thing well: take a booking, sell tickets to an event, send an invoice, make a payment page, or print a QR code that can be pointed somewhere new later. Use one on its own or connect them, with one account and one bill. Super Basic is based in Lincoln, England.

FULL
Super Basic is a family of small web apps for the everyday jobs of running something small. Each app does a single useful job and stops there. Bookin.to lets people book a time and pay a deposit. Entry.to runs event pages, tickets and check-in on the door. JustInvoice.to sends invoices and quotes, and Payup.to turns one thing you need paying for into a link and a QR code. QR8.to makes QR codes that can be changed after printing, and OneSite.to gives people one page for their links and products.

The apps are built for people who are not software specialists: sole traders, small teams, clubs, charities, schools and community groups. Most start free, and one Super Basic subscription covers the whole suite. Super Basic Limited was founded in 2025 by Edward Crowther (CEO) and Jarryd Trokis (CTO), and is based in Lincoln, England.

QUOTES

Why Super Basic
“Most small businesses don’t need more software. They need one job done properly so they can get back to the work they actually love. Every Super Basic app starts there: one job, done well, and nothing you have to learn twice.”
Edward Crowther, CEO and co-founder, Super Basic

How we build
“The hardest part of simple software is everything you choose to leave out. We keep each app small enough to understand completely, which makes it quicker to improve and much harder to break.”
Jarryd Trokis, CTO and co-founder, Super Basic

Fair pricing
“A hairdresser shouldn’t hand a marketplace a slice of every appointment, and a village hall shouldn’t lose a percentage of every ticket. We charge a small, flat price and get out of the way, because the money belongs to the people doing the work.”
Edward Crowther, CEO and co-founder, Super Basic

One account
“Under the surface, every app shares one account, one sign-in and one bill. You get the focus of a small tool with the convenience of a full suite, and you can start with just one.”
Jarryd Trokis, CTO and co-founder, Super Basic

Ambition
“We want Super Basic to be the first place a small organisation looks when it needs something done online. Not one giant platform you have to move into, but a shelf of simple tools that already know who you are. We’re building it from Lincoln, for the clubs, sole traders and charities we see around us every day.”
Edward Crowther, CEO and co-founder, Super Basic

What’s next
“Next, we’re making the apps hand work to each other. A booking becomes an invoice, the invoice becomes a payment, and nobody types the same details twice. That’s where small tools start to beat big software.”
Jarryd Trokis, CTO and co-founder, Super Basic

FOUNDERS

Edward Crowther, CEO and co-founder
Ed leads Super Basic’s direction, products and partnerships. He has spent years running small businesses himself, including My Square Metre, a certified B Corp that plants UK wildflower meadows, so he knows first hand how much time the online admin eats.

Jarryd Trokis, CTO and co-founder
Jarryd leads engineering across the suite, from the single account that signs people in to every app to the way the apps hand work to each other. He looks after how Super Basic is built, kept secure and kept simple as it grows.

STORY IDEAS

The Lincoln start-up building a toolbox for the high street
Two founders, one account and a growing shelf of small apps for the barbers, cafés, clubs and charities around them.

Booking and ticketing without a cut of the takings
Bookin.to takes no commission on bookings and Entry.to takes no percentage of ticket sales. Plans start at £20 a year.

Small software, on purpose
Why a tech company is choosing to do less, and what that means for people who never wanted to become software experts.

From village halls to mobile mechanics
Who the apps are built for, and the everyday admin they replace: paper booking diaries, reprinted posters and chasing invoices.
